Master CFI, CFII, MEI

Lou has earned his Master CFI designation for the 6th time, and was the 1996 National CFI of the Year. In addition to holding the Master CFI designation continuously since 1998, Lou has taught for several distinctive flying schools during his aviation career and has logged over 13,000 hours as PIC in his 50 years as a pilot. Lou also serves in the Civil Air Patrol, flies Young Eagles, and is a FAASTeam Representative for the FAA's DuPage FSDO, and is recipient of the distinguished FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award. CFI, CFII, MEI

Mike has been a pilot since 1987 and a flight instructor since 1990. He has trained pilots for the Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, and CFII certificates/ratings. Mike also serves the DuPage FSDO as a FAASTeam Representative and is on the faculty of Northeastern Illinois University.

CFI, CFII

John returns to his flying roots at Palwaukee Municipal Airport (now Chicago Executive Airport) where he took his first flight as a student in 1966. In addition to providing his extensive pilot instruction expertise to students and member pilots at the Leading Edge Flying Club, he also instructs students at the oldest flying club in the USA.

Associate Master CFI, CFII, Cirrus Standardized Instructor (CSIP)

Albert began flying and became an instructor at Chicago's Midway Airport (KMDW). He has been a pilot since 1997 and a flight instructor since 2001. Albert trains pilots for the Private, Instrument, and Commercial certificates/ratings, Cirrus transition/recurrent Training, and specializes in advanced glass cockpit avionics instruction. Albert enjoys preparing pilots to operate in Actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions, high-traffic environments, and all scenarios where avionics knowledge, excellent communication skills and wake turbulence avoidance are critical.

Gold Seal CFI, CFII, MEI

Before graduating from high school in 1972, Bob had already earned his Commercial, Instrument, Multi-engine, and Flight Instructor certificates, and has been an activeGold Seal Flight Instructor ever since. He is also a FAA Designated Pilot Examiner for Sport, Private, Commercial, Instrument and Flight Instructor certificates, and continues to be a strong advocate of Aviation Safety through training and education. During his spare time, Bob is a Boeing 777 Captain / Line Check Airman at United Airlines.

CFI, CFII, MEI, Cirrus Standardized Instructor (CSIP)

Rob Mark is a 30-year flight instructor. He has also flown for the airlines, on-demand charter, and corporate flight departments around Chicagoland and is type rated in a number of business jets. Rob also spent 4 1/2 years as an air traffic controller at KPWK. He is a contributing editor at Aviation International News magazine, and he is the author of five books on aviation. He also writes the award-winning blog, Jetwhine.com as well as co-hosts the weekly aviation podcast Airplane Geeks. His most fun flying experience to date: An hour in the left seat of the new Airbus A380 last June.

CFII

Bill has been a CFIIAM since 1974. Most of his instructing has been right here at PWK. He has spent his professional flying career in corporate aviation. He is rated in eight different aircraft, including Gulfstream IV and V jets. While flying the Gulftream V he has gained plenty of international experience including five nonstop flights from Beijing to New York City. He is available to all club members for instruction and flight reviews.
