Equipped with the Avidyne FlightMax Entegra Flight Deck, the Primary Flight Display (PFD) presents standard flight instrumentation in a compact electronic format that includes an attitude direction indicator, horizontal situation indicator (HSI), altimeter, primary engine instruments, airspeed (IAS, TAS and GS), vertical speed, slip/skid indicator, and turn coordinator.
The PFD HSI is fully synchronized with the Garmin GNS 430's for GPS (auto-leg and OBS) and VLOC (VOR, ILS or LOC) navigation inputs, as well as being integrated with the S-TEC System 55X Autopilot for flight control to heading, altitude and VSI bugs. The HSI features a moving map overlay with up to 15 waypoints displayed. This includes the ability to display curved approach paths and holding pattern segments.
The Avidyne FlightMax EX5000 Multi-Function Display (MFD) features moving maps, flight plan information, terrain contours, and an Engine Indication System. In addition, the MFD includes the XM WX Satellite Datalink Weather systems for automatic near real-time weather information. The map's range can be displayed in detail down to 1nm and up to 1500nm scale. A Trip Page... is continuously updated during a flight with distance / time, and the route legs advance with each waypoint message. Turning the Trip page left knob one detent to the right brings up the NRST Page allow to view the nearest VORs, NDBs, Intersections, Obstacles, etc.. The Engine Page... is used to display the health and performance status of the aircraft engine. Most of the engine indications are transmitted to the MFD via a remotely mounted engine data acquisition unit (DAU) while the remainder are calculated by the FlightMax EX5000.
